Another busy event for our wonderful Roundhay ladies, singing at the North Leeds Charity Beer Festival.

This annual event raises much needed funds for the Roundhay Rotary Club who support many charities and associations both local and further afield.

Joined by a few ladies from Ilkley and Farsley, our fabulous choir entertained the crowd to a great mix of songs including the ever popular Fleetwood Mac Melody, Stitches by Shawn Mendes and new choir song Sweet Dreams /Seven Nations Army Mash Up.

The audience had a great time and didn't want the singing to stop, demanding an encore, which our choir was happy to perform. In return our lovely ladies treated to a few glasses of Prosecco which, as you can imagine, went down very well. đŸ„‚

LOVE POP CHOIRS HARROGATE & COOKRIDGE

HARROGATE CHOIR FESTIVAL

13th April 2024

Oh What A Night!

Last year our Harrogate and Cookridge groups had a fabulous time at the Harrogate Choir Festival, so were delighted to be invited back again for 2024. Even bigger and better this year, moving from the Harrogate Theatre to the beautiful Royal Hall, we had an amazing time.

Stepping out onto the large stage in front of a packed audience was a real thrill, performing songs that had been so beautifully arranged by Choir Director Lauren and so painstakingly rehearsed by our ladies was magical. Starting off with the wonderful harmonies in Somebody to Love by Queen, followed by the beautiful When We Were Young by Adele and ending with a spectacular performance of  the very technical Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked. What a performance!

It was then time for drinks (and lots of crisps!) on the balcony whilst watching the remaining choirs perform, it was so great to see the amazing variety of talent out there. The wonderful evening ended with the whole audience joining in a very appropriate singalong of Thank You For The Music by ABBA.

Now we just have to wait to do it all again next year.heart
